Great Hotel - Review of Inthira Vang Vieng
10/07/2013
“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013 NEW

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it was a wonderful place. The manager was very nice and helped out a lot. The location was on the main road but since VV is such a small town this is not a problem unless you want the river views. The double room was large and very clean as was the bathroom. The bed a bit hard but it was comfortable for me. The a/c worked good and there was a wall mounted fan also (although it needed to be on the highest setting to lessen the noise). As said above, VV is a small town so you are no more then a 10 minute walk to almost any of the restaurants and bars along the river. Since its not on the river I assume this is why this hotel was quite so if you need that, its a good reason to choose this property. Great for all types, families, solos or couples as I saw them all here. Nice atmosphere and highly recommend.

Stayed June 2013, traveled solo

This style-conscious hotel is indicative  of a boutique trend that appears to be emerging in Vang Vieng. The 28 rooms are comfortable and attractive.

Nice Place with Friendly helpful service

My room was a double bed standard, good bug protection on windows, everything was clean and tidy. Staff were great and could help with any other bookings etc you needed. Superior rooms were real nice, my friends had them and they were pretty. Free breakfast was sweet compared to others i've experienced.

“Great hotel, good location and amazing customer service!”

We stayed at the Inthira Hotel for 6 nights, our first 3 nights was in a standard room - good size, comfortable bed, good air-con, tv,towels, good wifi, hot water (not the best water pressure!) and fairly quiet (except other guests!) this cost us $25 a night. We were supposed to leave after this but due to an injury (not actually tubing but after!) we decided to stay another 3 nights - this time we went for a superior as we booked online it was cheaper than the standard. The big differences are: bigger room and bigger bathroom, balcony, softer towels and weirdy fatter pillows (that were so uncomfortable!) the only down side from standard to superior was the noise - it was alot nosier. The superior was upstairs on the opposite side to the standard we were in and there was 2 very over enthusiastic roosters right outside! The wifi signal also wasn't as strong in the superior.

However the staff at the Inthira are amazing. We were welcomed with a lovely little cocktail before being helped to our room with our bags. Our first night we were invited to eat with the staff too! They were very helpful and answered any questions we had. Breakfast was included too and there was a fair selection (we did get abit bored after 6 days though!) we did also have dinner here one night (pasta) which was ok - resonantly priced.

Overall I would definatly recommend Inthira. We would stay there again if we returned to Vang Vieng!
